Creating the atmosphere with color and techniques

Engagement Party of Elizabeth and Russell at Sushi Samba, in Chicago. Great place with friendly personal and nice interiors. Both families are fun. Dj Madrid did amazing job creating the mood of the party. This job was good example when photographer can use interior details and color accents to give to the pictures vivid look. Well, until it gets dark. After that it is really simple to finish with the rest of the photos with "famous""point and shoot look". That was the case when few old and new techniques saved the atmosphere of the party on the pictures after the dark.

Above are 2 images of bamboo background where I was planning "good bye" shot. First one is straight flash. It looks unpleasant and would end up event worse with couple standing in a front of the camera. That was the case when "secret weapons" of remote and color gelled flash saved the shot. Congratulations to Elizabeth and Russell.

New series of pictures are in the ART gallery. For last few month I am experimenting with pictures, shooting them with old fashion look in mind. It is inspired by my latest readings (most of the books form 1900-1947), and my favorite photographer Josef Sudek.

Aron's Us Open (Bar Mitzhvah photosession and BIG party) at the Pinstripes. Alot of fun and great company. Beautifull decorations by Creative Centerpieces. Dj Jazmine and dancers from (Hypeproductioninc) made that party rock and all adults and kids were having non stop fun. Sweet table (The Chocolate Guy) with chocolate fountains made that party complete :-) Here is just some random pictures and rest of them ( 800+) will be in our Gallery section. Happy Bar Mitzvah Aron!

Eli's Bar Mitzvah Party was real fun. We enjoyed to work with Eli's family and friends. Many activities and games in party room and beautiful decoration created great atmosphere for the Party. Shooting conditions were not easy because of the room size, ceiling heights as well as reflective surfaces.. This was the case when off camera flash techniques became handy and helped to complete the job. Happy Bar Mitzvah Eli!.

We are apologize for not updating our web site for couple of month. There is new season is coming and we are finishing projects from last season in order to service future customers with out any delays.
There was few jobs in January and February that will be displayed later in our Gallery section. For right now I will display just one picture from February's Wedding. I did not shoot it as the photographer ( I was kind part of the wedding), but for a moment I could not resist.... I grabbed the camera and shot. The result is on the left;-)

Corporative party at PRIMITIVE. Few images on left and below are not enough to show you how original and beautiful that place is. If you are planning to visit down town Chicago and you'd like to discover something new, give yourself an extra hour to visit that place. Time you will spend threre will turn to unforgettable experience.

Video clip on left was shoot with Nikon D90 still camera in HD video format. I was playing with depth of field and different lenses to get some cinematic effects for the video. Result is good except this camera is designed as a still camera and there is no manual controls to work in video mode. Manual focus, and exposure compensation are available (or ELock) in video mode. Also camera's controls are not comfortable for shooting video. But it is still handy toy for home everyday use. You can get both quality pictures or HD video to preserve family memories. Here is another version of video converted in SD to give the clip some "nostalgic" cinematic look and "shoot on film" feeling.

This evening I've shoot corporative event (500+) at Soldier Field in down town of Chicago. It was getting dark by the time I got there but I was able to develop some nice outside shoots. And there was a marching band too. Party was cool. Live Karaoke band was playing on stage inviting people to join. By the end of the evening UK team (guests) were singing "Sweet Home Alabama" Those people are fun.

This days where remarkable to me because of 2 reasons: It was raining almost non stop for 2 days.... well they say it is a good luck if there is a rain and you have to hit the road... Good luck to both Brides and Grooms. Another reason I was doing pj stuff helping to another photographer. It is really hard to refuse this kind of job for me because I have freedom in creativity. Saturday's Bride's Dress was huge.... I mean HUGE. It was may be the biggest dress I've seen for the last few years. And it was pretty too. Check some pictures on the left. and of course some cool shoot with umbrellas. There was a hard time to make a decision how Bride can make these 20 feet under heavy rain. But it looks cool on picture. Next day... still pouring. I had some ideas about shoots with mirrors and some lightening techniques.
